I was handed this run club at 18 years old and had no idea what I was doing. I battled self-doubt and comparison, but I knew Jesus and I knew what healthy ministry could look like. A year later, we have 20 leaders from 10 ministries and 60–70 people showing up weekly. I can’t explain it apart from Jesus.

As we took communion, held hands, and prayed for one another, Jesus began turning a room of people into family. What is growing in Brazil today began with one decision to walk in the light and invite others to do the same. That night did not just change the room. It gave us a vision for the community God is building.

I was lukewarm in my faith, but RWC helped awaken something deeper in me. Through this community, I encountered the love of God, grew closer to Jesus, and found a family at a table set by Him. The Lord has transformed my life through RWC, and now I get to help others experience that same hope.

When I moved to Chicago, I spent six months feeling alone in my apartment. Then I was invited to RWC Chicago, and everything began to change. Two months later, I stepped into leadership as the assistant director. The Lord used RWC to give me community, purpose, and a family far beyond one city.

Through RWC, God showed me the gift of hospitality and reminded me that there is a seat for people at the table. What started as hosting leaders in my parents’ home became a picture of what RWC is becoming: a growing home where people are welcomed, known, and reminded they belong.

Through RWC, God gave me a new fire to preach the Gospel in my city with boldness. I experienced freedom, fresh vision, and a deeper desire to step into ministry. More than anything, I saw God’s love for His people and His desire to move through this movement.

Before our first run, we hosted a worship night and I shared from Mark 6 about Jesus having compassion for people who were like sheep without a shepherd. I had no polished plan, but the compassion of the Lord filled me with passion for the people we were called to reach. That night reminded me that God can move through willing people before they feel ready.
