It begins when people show up. It deepens when people open up. It multiplies when people step into a life on mission. RWC exists to form communities where people pursue Jesus, run together, live deeply, and carry the Gospel into everyday life.
ORIGIN STORY
There was no strategy. No brand. No blueprint. Just a burden that would not go away: a conviction that people were not meant to live the way most of us were living, surrounded by people and still completely alone. That isolation was not just a social problem. It was a spiritual one. And it was everywhere, even inside the Church.
So in Columbus, Ohio, a few ordinary young adults did something simple. They started running together on Saturday mornings. No venue. No budget. No formal announcement. Just a group text, a meeting spot, and a willingness to show up. What happened after the run was what nobody planned for. People stayed. They talked. They prayed. They started eating together. Something was forming that none of them had language for yet, but all of them could feel.

Someone in that Columbus community told a friend in another city. That friend tried it. Then someone else did. Then another city. The growth was never manufactured. It was caught. People experienced something genuinely alive and could not help but take it home with them. One city became five. Five became twenty. Twenty became over a hundred cities across the United States and eventually into nations across the world, each one started by an ordinary person who said yes to a simple, faithful obedience.
That is still the story. Not the story of a polished movement or a brilliant strategy, but the story of what happens when a few people take the burden God put in them seriously enough to act on it, and trust Him with what comes next. Every run club that has ever launched traces its lineage back to that same simple obedience in Columbus: show up, open up, and refuse to run alone.

Every Saturday morning, in cities across the world, we run. No pace requirements, no fitness resume, no pressure to be anything you're not. The run is the front door. All you have to do is show up.
